Training Hub

Our online Training Hub is available anytime, offering core and advanced CPD courses, bite-sized sessions, step-by-step ‘How to’ videos, and downloadable resources. Staff can complete training at their own pace, revisit key content, and build expertise individually or as a team. The hub ensures a consistent approach to phonics teaching throughout your school.

Live Webinars

We run a programme of live webinars across the academic year, delivered by expert trainers. These interactive sessions explore key updates, classroom strategies, and specialist topics tailored to year groups and roles. All webinars are recorded and added to the Training Hub, so staff can access them whenever needed.

“The training programme is very comprehensive. It is broken down into manageable chunks and the videos of lessons in action are very helpful, particularly the guidance on decodable books and guided reading.”

Rachael Glenn, Phonics Lead, Kingsley Community School

“The Monster Phonics training that was delivered to our whole staff team from nursery through to Y6 was engaging, interactive and supported our staff across the school in delivering effective phonics and early reading. All our staff have now completed training up to level two and this has had impact on the teaching of reading and phonics across the school - in fact our phonics results had a 27% increase on the previous year! ”

Beth Lloyd, Deputy Head at West Hill Primary School

“I have been highly impressed by the way in which training from Monster Phonics is personalised to the needs of individual schools. The series of short training videos were the perfect introduction to the Monster Phonics scheme; very manageable for staff at the start of a busy academic year. This, supplemented by follow up sessions from the expert Monster Phonics trainers, supported our teachers and teaching assistants to deliver phonics with confidence and maximise student outcomes.”

Hannah Stockley, Deputy Principal of Primary, Al Ain English Speaking School

“Thinking about some of the other programmes I’ve looked at... I can’t recall one where I’ve seen such high-quality training material.”

David Waugh, Professor of Education from Durham University School of Education

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the training session today. It was wonderful, and the team left the session so enthused and excited about teaching Monster Phonics as well.”

Jason Lang, Head of Pre-Prep, Pinewood School

“Training from Monster Phonics has been highly effective, and we have noticed how much consideration the programme gives to the individual needs of the school. We were able to implement the scheme incredibly quickly and effectively, and saw an impact on our results straight away. Knowing that we would be able to offer our staff continuous access to regular training webinars and events, we felt very much part of the Monster Phonics community which has continued to grow. Our teachers and TAs are expertly skilled in delivering phonics as quality wave one teaching and as intervention sessions and we have the Monster Phonics team to thank for that.”

Teresa Skeggs, Executive Headteacher, Peartree Spring Primary School
